Jim Singleton has over 40 years professional experience in multi-disciplinary planning, environmental management, EIA, social/community assessments, social risk and controversy management, stakeholder consultation and engagement, regional planning, sustainability and innovation, corporate social responsibility, and strategic studies/investigations. This includes 20 years in government to Director level, and 20 years in Australian and international consulting with Dames & Moore, URS, GHD, ENV Greencap, and Knight Piesold. International work includes extensive ‘in-country’ project work in Indonesia, Philippines, Myanmar and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and short term assignments in numerous other countries. Of note, in 1992 he was seconded to four year UN FAO ‘sustainable agriculture and water resources’ project in Iran, with an additional contract to the Bank Zamin (commercial arm of Agricultural Bank of Iran) in 1995.
Jim holds Bachelor Arts in Applied Geography, Master of Town and Country Planning, Master of International Business with Distinction, is qualified and Registered Landscape Architect, a Registered Planner, and also qualified in ‘social risk assessment and controversy management’.
